Kid Rock & Mitt! Yes, there are some crazy things in this world and last night it was all on display. It started last night with the "Great American Race" being postponed to Monday Day or Afternoon or wait maybe Monday Night works better. That unraveling caused a few Ohio High School students to start shooting at each other, Police said that "The Race being moved to Monday played a part but Kid Rock closing out Mitt's last Rally in Michigan really pushed the Kids over the edge" The Right will never know how to be in touch with the Common man, well maybe if they were all like Ron Paul- He knows how to pull the youth vote on the Right. Grand Pa Ron, preaches about the Fed and the Gold Standard to America's youth and the youth eat it up like ecstasy at a Rave Club circa 1995. Even Ron Paul knows he has no chance but hey the race sales books.
Some time around the Tuesday AM a Jet Fuel Tank illuminated the nights sky ringing in the Michigan & Arizona primaries. The Choice for the right has boiled down to Rick or Mitt...it doesnt matter really. By the time the blood suckers get done stealing America's life blood the NASCAR voting block will have accepted Toyota is really racing cars in Daytona. Maybe they will finally accept that we have a black President.

The American man is a being all its own, one part trailblazer, one part loner and one part nuts. It’s the nuts part we all have a problem with. Even if that part is the best part. The Best Part you say? Yes, the best part! Why else would we want to fly to the moon? Why would Steve Jobs remake a perfectly good Music Industry? Why would a Black man really want to be president? It’s the Nuts part of us that makes us push a little farther, reach a little higher. We have to stop looking at those Nuts like crazy people and maybe, just maybe help them. Where would American Kids be without Tang? Where would our Teenagers be without a Telephone or Cell Phone? That’s true American progress. If your in your forties and went to Epcot (Disney World) & took a ride on “Space Ship Earth” in the 1980’s you saw where we were going…Talking on a phone while seeing the person we were talking to. Or a Computer in every room!!! Twenty years later we are passed that and on to the Grand Marshal of Impossible----The Flying Car!!! Yes, we are close to becoming the “Jetson’s”.
The war of 2012 is just beginning; Mitt has a slim chance to pull the wool over American’s eyes. Newt & Herman have fallen to Montelle Status in the American Electorate. Their words fall on Death ears; their followers now turn back the Religious Right and its leader- Rich Santorum. Mitt is still playing on White America’s fear of a Black President as well as his family Money, Thank you American Motors! It took a Black President to show it’s not a Right or Left issue America has, it’s a US issue. We want it all but cannot bring ourselves to give up a penny. We are starting to fall back into the Man vs. Woman Religious debate that we fought in the 90’s. The fight slipping to Moral vs. the perceived “Imoral”, Sex, Male/Female and the Mother of all big fights…GOD!

The Election of 2020
THE ELECTION OF 2020
It's been 8 years since the re-election of President Obama and after infighting with both the Democratic & Republican Parties Americans turned to a new group. A new way to vote and lead. This party had always been there but we never wanted to except the fact that many agreed with us. We, the American People, got caught up in who did what 20 years ago- like a frat party defines a person. We kept a focus on the wrong things, what their parents did, we're they truly Americans? We're they Church going folk? The Election of 2016 Brought us our 1st women President, Michelle Bachmann, the former Congress woman from the Great State of Minnesota. She had a hard fought campaign against Hillary Clinton, the great Democrat of the old way. As Ms. Bachmann showed during her 1st try in 2011/2012 sometimes it takes a while to get your sea legs in Presidential Politics. Michelle was a new type of Republican, a bit crazy, a bit Tea Party, a bit Grand Old Party and face it if given a choice between Hillary or Michelle, most men would have picked Michelle, in the most "do'able" category.
Fox, MSNBC, CNN and the rest of mainstream media by 2016 had given up on giving its viewers facts and went to 24 hour programming showing WWE & TNA Wrestling. By 2016 most Americans viewed politics the same way- the worst type of mud wrestling in e western world. After watching President Obama called every name in the book, from Muslim to Racist, and seeing their ratings and ad rates rise the media took a fuck it approach. Even the a naked Rachel Maddow was over the topped by Fox News Gay naked news cast in 2014 with Bill O'Riley & Brit Hume. Yes, the media had gone rouge and Americans ate it up. Even the respected PBS debates of 2015 were a grand showing of sex, sex and a spice of European flair. It was even sponsored by KY Intense!!
By 2016 the American public had given in. The country was no longer the #1, France & China were now the big superpowers. In the 2015 the Gov't of China foreclosed on many of America's assets and along with Russia sold off all of their T-Bills, on the same day, plunging the American economy into a tailspin that it not recover from. This almost happened in 2008 but the Chinese Gov't chose the time wasn't right, choosing to wait. Wait until it would hurt the most. The once run down American Icon City of Detroit was now the only major American city that was growing, while most Americans moved to Toronto or Mexico City to find jobs, the American Auto Companies had become the only jobs engine in the country. The white working class now fully under the thumb of their Latino bosses. The Tea Party over a five year span moved to promote the Latino Family unit while offering a way for displaced whites to find work at Mexican factories. Never before had the great move south been impactful in a few elections, but 2016 was the year it would come together. The Occupy Toronto Movement had succeeded in taking over 5 city parks and claimed them for America. The Occupy Movement succeeded and used their smartphones to hold off the Canadian Army. No one know, really, that Steve Jobs biggest coup was making a phone that could also control Military computers. The Apple IPhone was the tool of choice when it came to stopping Internet traffic. The Canadian Army had no chance.

Tampa Street Car
The Tampa Street Car is Losing Money. The Rail- Like Transport vehicle that runs from the Downtown YMCA to Harbour Island around to the Marriott Waterside and the Channelside area then down to Ybor City. My friends and I have used it for Hockey Games, "Guys Night Out" in Ybor and other small events. The Tampa Convention Bureau believes that the Tampa Street Car has sold groups on Tampa. I tend to agree. I was part of a few groups that chose San Diego for its Street Car and the Gas Light Area, which is very simillar to Ybor if I must say. The street car, even if its a Money Loser, is helping Tampa Business.
Our current Mayor, Bob Buckhorn, voted against the Street Car when he was on the City Council. Many of his views on it have come true. But I would add, as a push back, that Street Car has been misused. It should be & should have been promoted as a Transportation Tool, not just a Tourist "Icon". The Street Cars were in Major use in Tampa before General Motors forced cars on the residents of Tampa. We all have forgotten that. If we promoted the Street Car and expanded its service area, like a leg that includes residental areas of Ybor & Harbour Island as well as a leg that services the North Side of Downtown, the Street Car would become a Mass transit vehicle. A Mass Transit Vehicle that people would use. In the Face of $4 & possibly $5 a gallon gas, now is not the time to make cuts in any Transportation area. I hope Mr. Buckhorn sticks with the Street Car. It can work better, losing Money every year is a problem, it does bring Tampa Business and it can become a jewel in Tampa's Crown. Part 4
Sometimes people think they figure a person out. They have no clue. The darkness can over take a soul faster than a super nova. It's an amazing how easy it is to let it in. It may just be a thought; a bad day or the lords just said so. Toes say a lot about a man, did he actually care to get a pedi??? That same darkness can be fuel, rocket fuel, for some. It's like they actually know what they are doing. At the end of their days they wonder why they not accomplished their life goals, they blame others. But in the end it's their own fault.
The end comes in many forms. For some it's a huge event for others it's a slight side to the right or left, but never far from the middle. Why? Because the simple man never wants to stray from his comfort zone, much easier to throw a verbal bomb from the side line and then retreat back to crowd in the middle. Always staying close to the winner. Why not spread your wings and fight to make a better life for your family? The challenge is too great for a person to take the lose. Why take a loss they say.
The night is young but all I can think of is leaving this place. The bartender & a guest try to give me a free shot, but I say no. Like I really want a shot from you. It's not that I don't like you but I know your game. Get close to the owner/manager, it pays dividends.
Why do I care if you buy me a shot or not? Easy answer, because most people only do that when they want something or are very drunk. Drunken college kids excluded from this point due to the fact there are usually drugs and a frat party involved. Like a free shot means I owe you my life, when your being a drunken asshole you will fall back to that free shot. You know you will and I don't play that game. Sorry

The Silver Shark
Part 3
Like a republican in the US Congress, he smiled and played the doting dad..All the while he had his hand in her purse. He says he earned it, how by sleeping with a woman? Yep a real man by any man's standards. One day the machine will get him to.
The shark pulls into the drive of the cave it calls home. Oil warm from a good run, the smell of burn rubber and splashed beer still hang in the air. MSNBC still on the sat. radio, keeping the dream of a better nation still alive. Its legs are ready to go again.... It needs to fight the oppression that is the Tea Party, the wack jobs on the Right, who say the love this country. Like a country music star who doesn't really live in Nashville but NYC. City folk making a joke on the cow pokes in the North Dakota. The common man is now blind to the game. The common man still feels that he has some control. Some hold on his future, which is now the same future of Detroit... The images are faded, crumbled and scared. It's not that Detroit isn't an icon of America, it is, it’s the image of American Excess. The dark side of all that "Apple Pie & Chevy" had a bill, a credit card statement is not a thing anyone wants at the end of the month. Mostly because they can't pay the minimum payment.
The sun grows harsher in the winter months of a man's life. Things that were once bendable break. The speed that was in on demand is now out done by a younger model. The bark grows darker and the leaves fall away. It is harder to make a living when you’re being it's self is under attack via progress. You were once only a sapling and now you’re nothing but old driftwood in a Florida swamp. Waiting to be used as back fill or if your lucky, furniture.

The night brings out the best of the true Americans. The worker who sweats his ass off to make a sub human living wage to support his family & his girlfriend. He toils away in hopes to make it, a suburban home, a pool, card games and a nice lawn. His wife is worst than him, she wanted this life to escape Daddy and his hands. She hoped this former Football/High School Sweetheart could make her happy, she too fell for the dream.
The silver shark moves about the black top at top speed, searching for its next victim. The cool air glides over its silver skin making a high pitched noise that alters the mind. The internal sounds of smooth jazz dull the pain in its ears, moving left and right, back left again, till it sets its sights on a blue hunk of Euro Trash...attack!!
Another dead German tourist on the side of the road. Rest stops in Florida are full of them. The American dream is no where near the the vast wasteland of sun, fun & Disney world.
The man at the bar, sitting with two ladies who believe he is a real catch. Deep Down inside he knows he is not what he claims. He sold his soul a long time ago. The force is weak in him. Claiming to have great wealth, when it all came from a sham of a marriage, he stole the cash by faking it.

Feeling a bit like HST The Duke
At times of great pressure a man finds his true sense of self. The world around him begins to become a slow moving video game. A game that he either plays with professional skill or Attempting to reach the apex of Olympus. The hands of gods reach to touch his expanding sphere of influence. For where as eagles soar this mortal man obtains a far greater height. During this level 10 gamer heaven he the player of the longhouse finds it.
I find it odd every night at this place, the smell, the women, the men and the booze, all wanting a piece of my flesh. A moment of my time. Anything to feel like someone else, understand their pitiful existence on the orb. Like I can really help, like my ear will some how raise their standing from mud puppet to human. Give me a break you were done the moment you were born. Your trailer park family didn't help matters when they let you stay home from school because Dr. Phil was on that day.
You know your the Dammed and you don't see a way out. The right & the left offer a slogan to be proud of but little in way the true meaning, a light at the end of the tunnel. Obama is a good man but he was handicapped right from the start, too big, too much and too true.

USF & Tampa
JD Alexander's Push to Make USF Poly his Very Own College in Polk County has driven Tampa Bay Residents into Mad Raging Dogs. The Cuts are meant as pay back for not Bowing down to the Great, JD. Claiming that a Schools Raining Day Fund played into the cuts, Wait if thats the Case then I guess the Republicans do believe in Taxing the Rich. Please. Not that I'm against Taxing the our better Off Residents a bit more during a down turn, with a caveat that all taxes go up, and those tax increases are made with a time limit attached/expire date. JD Alexander's choice here is to make his personal war with USF a Statewide Issue leaving Students at USF and other Florida Universities in its wake. This is enough to make any Florida Resident Steaming mad. Instead of Focusing on Real Issues, like JOBS or Florida's Ports and Mass Transit problems the Florida Senate Leadership has taken a path for personal gain. Even Florida's Leadership in Washington has focused on personal gain, just look at Mica's push to make TSA agents a private enterprise. While all this is going on our State continues to fall behind Arkansas & Mississippi in Education and Job Creation.
One positive; Due to voter/Residents Phone Calls Many Florida Senators changed their votes on the Prison Bill SB2038. Ms. Storms, Mr. LaTvala, Ms. Dockery and other Republicans heard from their people and chose to vote NO!!

With our state leaders trying push to "some GREAT TAX CUTS" the fact remains that HB361, HB5703,HB1005 & SB760 are tax cuts the state would like to make but yet those very tax cuts, althought a nice thought, hurt the very people their are suppose to help. Just like the Reagan & Bush I tax cuts before, local govt would be forced to pick up the tab or cut programs that serve its residents. Not welfare programming. Programs like Cops, Fire Dept, City Parks, Schools. The choice left to City & County Govt is clear make cuts or raise property taxes. That's the kind of tax cuts our republican leadership has planned for us. It can be better & the residents of Tampa as well as the rest of the bay area deserve better.
The Gov. Claims he is the business Gov. It's all about jobs he says but how can a state employ people who do not have a education. How can we ask local Govt, that have already been pressed to the max, they have made painful cuts, now they face even greater pressures thanks to the state.
We must stop those bills!

Bob Buckhorn's Grand Plan
Yesterday Tampa Mayor, Bob Buckhorn, along with the Urban Land Institute unveiled "The Riverfront Project" . Once again the Mayor's focus on the Hillsborough River is proving to be the correct course of action for this City & its residents. The development will open River access to many city residents, which is currently lacking in my view. Yes, there is a question of "How" to move current residents living in the N. Blvd. Housing units but at its age most residents may be looking for an upgrade.
Just think, with the Riverwalk almost done and the Riverfront Project the City is "Finally" starting to become more City like. Yes, this project may not start for some time but if Mayor Buckhorn sticks with it, I believe he will, Tampa will development this project. Can you imagine going to the Farmers Market on early Saturday Mornings? Or watching local High Schools & College's Crew practices/races? I can! Not that Liverpool/Syracuse, NY is Tampa but the my old Hometown used its Lake, Onondaga, has a City & Town Center. Parks, Boating, Historical Center/Erie Canal and Shopping ending at the city's edge. Onondaga Lake is nice, family and commercial it is the focal point of the area.

Gaming in Tampa & the State
Now that the Fla House has tabled the destination casino bill for the balance of 2012 we need to look at On-Line gambling parlors. Sheriffs in Pasco & Pinellas Counties have already taken the bull by the horns by closing them, since they are illegal gambling operations. My fair County, Hillsborough, has outlawed them. Bravo to the Sheriff's in Pasco & Pinellas and thank you to the my County Leaders in Hillsborough!!!
These "Gambling" centers were mostly located in strip malls near lower income communities. No matter if they used "Phone Cards" & "Points" to play these games...in the end end you the customer/sucker used your dollars to play a unregulated casino style games. This would be a larger story if these parlors were to pop up in S. Tampa or Winter Park in Orlando, the white Upper Class would be up in arms over it. Using their property values has a whip to force city $ state leaders to stop this end run around Florida's gambling laws. The Tampa Bay Times, in it's
Opinion Section, uses the Seminole Indian Compact as a reason to ban this type of gambling state wide. It's true. The Seminole Compact does state we have "Given" exclusive gaming rights to the Seminoles. (leaving S Florida out for our pimping).
We need to stop leaving this issue to Disney & other state wide lobbies and stand up for US, the people of Florida. As I've said before, look at the City of Detroit. They looked to Gambling to save the city. It didn't work, the city is still broke and worst yet their Gov. Is in the process of taking over the city's fInances due to miss-management.
